I'm 46, married with 1 son. I'm currently preparing for a backpacking trip along the Katy Trail in Missouri. The Katy is officially 225 miles long. I'll be thru-hiking all the way to Machens which adds another 13 miles. making it 238. This doesn't include side hikes to campsites. I'm guessing about 250 miles by the time it's said and done.
Well crud. It's Saturday, my backpack is ready, I'm excited, but the wind chill is 9 degrees. I doubt that I'll be putting in any distance this weekend.
